Hempaguard® X7 (Fouling Defence)
Premium fouling defence for maximum efficiency below the waterline.
Hempaguard X7 uses Hempel’s patented Actiguard technology, which combines silicone hydrogel with controlled biocide diffusion in a single coat. On immersion, a hydrogel microlayer forms at the silicone–water interface and acts as a physical fouling barrier. The controlled biocide release reinforces that barrier, extending the fouling-free period well beyond conventional antifouling or fouling release alone.
Hempasil Pro (Fouling Release)
Biocide-free, hydrogel-enhanced silicone.
Hempasil Pro is Hempel’s fouling release flagship and is completely biocide-free. It uses a smooth silicone binder with an invisible silicone-based hydrogel microlayer. Non-reactive polymers form a hydrogel layer between the coating and the seawater, so fouling organisms read the surface as a liquid and cannot settle easily. The self-cleaning behaviour of the silicone underneath keeps the hull smooth across the service interval.
Silic One & Silic Pro
The same silicone hydrogel technology is available for smaller craft — tenders, chase boats and support vessels. Silic One (fouling release) and Silic Pro (fouling defence) are designed for brush and roller application, suit aluminium, GRP and carbon fibre hulls, and are used for touch-ups and repairs alongside the main hull system.
